Monday, October 10 Edmonton at Toronto, 1:00 pm EDT The Eskimos and Argonauts face-off in the first Thanksgiving Day game on Monday afternoon. The Argos slipped past the Eskimos 22-18 as a 6.5-point underdog back in Week 9. Damon Allen was solid in that game, tossing three touchdown passes and no interceptions in the win. The oddsmakers expect a repeat performance on Monday, opening Toronto as a 2.5-point favorite. Edmonton is coming off an embarrassing 40-14 loss to the Tiger-Cats only one week after handing the Lions their first loss of the season. Ricky Ray had one of his worst games of the season, completing only 21-of-33 passes for 217 yards with no touchdown passes and a pair of costly interceptions. Which Eskimos team will show up this week? The squad that took down the Lions or the ragged bunch that was routed by Hamilton? Toronto got a gift from the CFL schedule-maker last week against the flailing Renegades. The Argos defeated Ottawa 29-18 as a 9.5-point favorite to maintain their hold onto first place in the East. BC at Winnipeg, 4:00 pm EDT In the later Turkey Day game, the B.C. Lions head into Winnipeg to try and snap their two-game losing streak. This is the first time these teams have clashed this season after the Lions posted two wins versus the Bombers last season. This game was kept off the board early in the week due to the questionable status of Lions' quarterback Dave Dickenson. Check back on game day for the current line. After opening the season with 11 straight wins the Lions have faltered recently to drop their last two games. Last week Dave Dickenson was knocked out with a concussion and the Lions' hopes went with him in a 28-19 loss to Saskatchewan. If Dickenson can't go this week the starting nod will go to Buck Pierce who has been effective when leading the Lions' offense during intermittent stretches this season. The Blue Bombers went back to their losing ways last week as they got thumped 42-23 by the Montreal Alouettes. The Blue Bombers' defense could be in luck with Dickenson possibly out, because they currently sit last in the CFL allowing 451 yards per game.
